Architecture is a matter of understanding how things should work and be built. Robert Durham Architecture is a small office in Central Texas established in 1987 when Robert Durham began his practice in West Texas. His early training and exposure was primarily on commercial projects. Hospitals, college facilities, religious, office buildings, hospitality, high end multifamily, and golf clubhouse facilities.
Over the past few years the practice has worked primarily on single family residential – clients include homeowners, investors, and speculative builders. The client, in whichever category, is interested in high end design with maximum end value. A residence represents a significant investment to the client and for a homeowner is a long term commitment to their future. The current trend is toward sustainable design and simplicity in the design approach.
